Fiber Content: 100% Organic superfine merino
Fingering Weight
Care: Handwash

This yarn is one of the softest wools I've ever had my hands on. It is light as a cloud and is perfect for lace or fairisle. I can't stop working with it! Even though its fingering weight, we don't recommend using it for socks because it is a very soft wool with a light twist and therefore isn't as durable as yarns spun with socks in mind. Instead use this for lacey shawls, light weight cardigans and huggable baby items!

Because it hasn't been superwash treated, Green Sheep Fingering tends to take dye unevenly with more blending on the skein. This adds a lot of “life” to the color and fabric as you knit. There is a trade-off to using this superfine, super soft fiber- over time the stitches do start to blur and fuzz, especially if treated roughly. That makes this yarn best for something where the focus doesn't need to be on intricate stitch patterning or for pieces that will be handled delicately.

Below you'll find some examples of colorways dyed on this yarn but it, like all of our yarn and fiber, is available in ANY of the colorways listed in the Colors section of our website. For additional photos, type in the yarn name in the "search" bar at the top of the side bar.
